Hearty Starts Breakfast

Survivor's R Us prepares a hearty cooked BBQ breakfast free to the public each week on Monday and Thursday mornings. The aim is to give back to the community by providing a location for those who are unable to afford breakfast to receive a decent feed.  

The variety of food includes tomatoes, onion, mushrooms, and classic sausages. There is no booking required, please turn up with an empty stomach and a taste for BBQ.

First Impressions

First Impressions is our on-site boutique offering our clients (including school leavers) the opportunity to choose a suitable outfit to wear to a job interview, court appearance or any other important appointment.

At First Impressions our clients can choose from a selection of suits, pants, shirts, ties, dresses, skirts, blouses and jackets. A small selection of handbags, shoes, socks, hosiery, scarves, belts, toiletries and make-up items are also available. A nominal fee may apply. This service is available by appointment only. Tuesday Wednesday & Friday 

Free Hot Food

3:15 - 3:45 pm

Every Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday afternoon we pick up bags of hot pies, sausage rolls, wrapped burgers and other goodies gratefuly donated by Tasty Trucks, Cardiff

This is free but be quick they go fast!

This is on a 'first come, first served' basis.

Counselling - Individual Sessions

By appointment

SRUs currently has 2 counsellers
Mikala and Evangaline are available by appointment, 
Evangaline is here on Tuesdays and 
Mikala on Wednesdays from 9am to 3pm
Both Councellers offer counselling to anyone who requires personal help, support or someone to talk to. 
Their councelling services  are free of charge.

The Pantry

Open Monday to Thursday 9.00am to 4.00pm & Friday 9.00am to 12.00pm

'The Pantry', SRUs food warehouse is restocked with grocery and fresh produce purchased from The Foodbank, in Sydney. 

We receive 2 deliveries per week of fresh and frozen food, and non perishable pantry items.

All our grocery items are sold at resonable prices with all members of the community in mind.

You don't have to hold a Pension or Health Care Card,

Free Bread

Thursday's we have free fresh loaves of bread and rolls that are donated by Bakers Delight


Butterfly Corner

1:30pm - 2:30pm


Survivor's R Us hosts a weekly afternoon tea for women, hosted by our wonderful counsellor, Mikala.

We hope to have a friendly group of ladies to chat and have tea or coffee within a relaxed atmosphere every week.

Please RSVP if you are planning to attend so we know for catering purposes.

Community Support Workers 

SRUs currently have 3 Community Support Workers here on site, at Cardiff

Samantha, Shikira and Margaret are here to offer support and help to those in need in the community. Our Support Workers can offer, advice and support with D.V., family issues, homelessness and economic hardship.

Ken's Corner 

11.00am to 12.00pm


Survivor's R Us hosts a weekly morning tea for men called Ken's Corner, where you can come to have coffee and feel free to talk about anything and everything, such as men's health, domestic violence and anything you may be going through in their life.
 It is important that everyone has some one to talk to and that is what we are aiming for. We have a friendly group of guys to chat and have a cuppa, in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere




Friday from 9am until gone

Survivor's R Us receive fresh Fruit and Veggies from OzHarvest once a week. 

The fresh fruit and veggies are bagged up and are given out FREE to those in need.  There is a limit of one bag per family and we are unable to hold bags. It's first in best dressed until stocks run out.
