Michelle

"I have been working with Survivor's R Us since 2021.

I am a grandmother now, but I lived through domestic violence as a young mum in my twenties. Since then I have had a passion to support people who are disempowered and seeing them take hold of the potential they were created to achieve.

I studied initially at the Australian College of Applied Psychology in Sydney, then completed a Masters in Mental Health specialising in Art Therapy at the University of QLD. I've learned that creativity can gently release unconscious emotions and beliefs that might hinder our best intentions. I often invite clients to explore art activities as part of our counseling sessions to facilitate progress toward their own goals.

Although I am willing to partner with anyone to work toward change, the majority of my clients have experienced abuse, anxiety, depression, grief, and loss."
