Good Afternoon Everyone!
Yesterday was Flannie Day, and some of our staff decided to show their support by turning up wearing their finest flannel apparel. Just look at these lovely people!
Flannie Day is an annual awareness and action day on the issues of homelessness and hunger in Australia. It's held on the first Wednesday of August and in the middle of Homelessness Prevention Week. Participants wear a flannie to raise awareness about homelessness and food insecurity in Australia, and take action by taking part in the Flannie Day Food Drive or fundraising for a local charity, assisting vulnerable people who are at risk of or experiencing homelessness and hunger in our local communities. You can choose your own charity, or support those who are at the forefront of assisting those in need; Oz Harvest, Foodbank, and StreetSmart Australia.
Thank you for your time,
- The Team at Survivor's R Us.
